Deal Closing speed. Two Weeks vs Six Months

Deal-closing speed in the Middle East differs. One person mentioned that he closed a deal within two weeks.

During Ramadan, daytime meetings usually move to more casual night meetings.

We discussed business development progress, and he asked about our deal-closing speed.

I replied that it usually takes 3–6 months, and in some cases even up to a year.

He smiled and said they closed deals within two weeks. That was surprising and made us question our own deal-closing speed.

However, the reality is that he doesn’t follow up with leads for more than two weeks. In our case, we follow up with the right leads regularly.

For example, I enquired about Salesforce a year ago, and they are still following up with me.
